Space Rental

Weddings

We are pleased that you are considering our First Friends Meetinghouse for your wedding ceremony. We trust that the beauty and simplicity of our sacred space will provide the perfect place for your family and friends to commemorate this joyous occasion.

Most Quaker Meetinghouses are characterized by a pure and simple aesthetic with no stained glass, crosses, flags and other such symbols and ornamentation. This helps ensure that you and your wedding party are the focus of the wedding.

The Meetinghouse is accessible for guests who cannot use steps. Ample parking is available and there is enough seating to comfortably host up to 250 guests. We are a non-smoking and alcohol free environment.

We Are an Inclusive Meeting

First Friends welcomes members and non-members who wish to hold wedding services in our Meetinghouse. Because equality is a basic principle of the Quaker faith, First Friends supports marriage equality and welcomes LGBTQ couples who wish to marry in our Meetinghouse.

The use of the Fellowship Hall and/or kitchen requires an additional fee and must be approved during the initial scheduling of your wedding date. We offer the room for a simple reception of hors d’oeuvres and punch, with room for a wedding cake. The caterer must be informed that the kitchen may only be used as a prep kitchen, no cooking can be done onsite and we have a no alcohol policy. The caterer and staff are responsible for all kitchen clean-up, safe usage of kitchen equipment and taking all trash away from the premises.

Wedding Inquiries

Our Wedding Coordinator will meet with you up to two times before your wedding day to tour the Meetinghouse, talk through sound system usage, and policies for decorating the Meetingroom. We require that you have either a Wedding Director or family member to assist with the details of the wedding.
